I lost my mom two weeks ago and it has made me appreciate every waking minute. I try to tell my husband and children how much I love them every day.My husband says you don't have to tell me that because it's the little things you do for me each day that you don't realize you are doing that makes me know you love me.

May God comfort you in your loss, Lynda. My heart hurts with you. I know the pain that comes with letting go of a dear mother. In the pain comes God's promise that He will be with us. He will never leave us.

And what a lesson learned--to appreciate every waking minute! Thanks for reminding me and my readers of this.

I'm smiling at your husband's reaction to your words. Makes me wonder if his love language is acts of service rather than words of affirmation.

Nevertheless, we all need to hear uplifting words, such as "I love you," no matter what our love language. Thanks for modeling this!

My husband took me to a motel for a night "away" before a big job I needed to do. We've also got planned a dinner/show, and a fishing trip, and other outings.

You can't ever pass on too much love!

Love your questions, Eileen.

Caroline,

How exciting to have outings planned for the future! This really does breed romance in a marriage. Thanks for sharing!

My sweet husband makes everyday romantic, and he always puts my pajama pants in the dryer before I get home so they will be warm on legs. I have fibromyalgia and if I get cold my legs hurt so bad it makes me cry. Oh and he takes me to the drive in movies.
