4R Rejuvenation Retreat for Women!

I'm working on a new manuscript title 4R Rejuvenation Retreat for Women and would like some feedback from several of you. The more, the better.

The focus of the book is on ways women rejuvenate themselves. For those of you willing, would you answer any/or all of the following questions?

1. I think it's important for a woman to
reflect on her journey from time to time (deal with sin, past or present wounds, choose to forgive). If you agree, in what way(s) do you do this and how often?

2. I think it's important for a woman to
remember God's faithfulness. If you agree, how do you personally do this? Do you have a personal story of how God showed His faithfulness to you?

3. I think it's important for a woman to
renew herself in God's love and also refresh her body and mind. If you agree, how do you do this?

4. I think it's important for a woman to
release everyone and everything into God's hands. If you agree, how do you do this?

Okay, so you've discovered the basic premise of my book:
4R Rejuvenation Retreat for Women (reflect, remember, renew, release). Yes, it focuses primarily on a woman's spiritual dimension, but I also want to sprinkle in ways a woman refreshes through massage, spa, shopping, relationships with other women, decorating, scrapbooking, recipes, etc.

So, if you have something to share that you would be willing for me to include in the book, pass it on to me, along with your full name, occupation, and permission to use your original quote or brief story/idea.

Thanks for helping! Can't wait to read your ideas and stories! As an added bonus, I'll send you a complimentary copy of my devotional, Tranquil Moments, Spiritual Refreshment from the Island of Maui, just for posting your tips below.

Let me see....
#1. I find myself reflecting more often as I get older. I think about past mistakes and make sure that I am no longer making those mistakes.
#2. God is faithful. He has proven it to me numerous times over the past 2 years. Whenever I feel at a loss, I pray for God's guidance and He reminds me of all that He has brought me through. Making me stronger!
#3. By reading through the Bible each year, I find myself being drawn closer and closer to God... To refresh my body, I take walks and take in the sights and sounds of God's creation. This time of year is especially gorgeous. I also enjoy reading and scrapbooking..Refreshing your mind is very important, we need to stay sharp. I enjoy all sorts of puzzles that challenge me. (ie Sudoku, Crosswords)
#4. This is a tough one. But, it is getting easier for me to 'let go and let God'......a lot of prayer and faith is what it takes.

There you have it! You have my permission to use any or all of my answers.

I would love a copy of your devotional. Thanks and God bless.

Love the 4 R's. Sounds like a good guideline to rejuvenate our lives.

Thanks for stopping by, Cindi! Please pray that God will have His hand upon this book as I write. I believe so many of our hang-ups are due to difficulties in practicing these four areas: reflection (with a view toward returning to the Lord in repentance and healing), remembering where He's brought us from, renewing ourselves in His love, and releasing everything and everyone into His hands.

I know He's had to carefully guide me back to these foundational Rs so many times during my life.

In keeping with your R's:

Refuse to Rehash :) Too often we keep beating ourselves over old errors instead of learning and letting go.

God bless you and your good work.
