Happy New Year, Eileen~
What a pleasant thought to think of a soothing water scene from beautiful Maui, while meditating on God's Word. Your book looks so peaceful.

Thanks for dropping by, Diane! It was peaceful writing the book. So, you've been to Maui?

Yes, for my parents 50th, six of us. My brother and wife and Steve and I went. It waa fun to stay in Honolulu for a couple of nights before flying to Maui because my best friend from Kindergarten lived there (just moved to FL last week) She was a NP at Kiser, It was great to see she and her hubby. Eileen, did you go on the Road to Hana? That was something we still laugh about, oh my no way to turn around...It was beautiful scenery but a little scary. :)I don't do heights! The Island was lovely, whales swimming and the beautiful hand made items the women make...and those waterfalls...sunsets, such sweet memeories. :)

Oh, such fun! Yes, we did half of the road to Hana. Never actually made it to the seven sacred pools. The scenery reminded me of my hometown in Tennessee. :)

A beautiful spot for us was to see the rain forest and of course to go to a pig feasting party on the beach...it started before sunset showing how they baked the pig in he ground with the leaves, and by sunset after eating, the performers shared the story about the first people on the Islands, and missionairies who came to teach them.

Ah yes, the luau. Funny thing for us was we dined each evening at Peacocks, an open air restaurant on the beach. So we had a direct view of the luaus for free!

Congratulations, Diane! You are the winner of the Tranquil Moment book. Would you like more than one to pass along to someone else?

Feedback from a reader of Tranquil Moments: "The entry about 'feeling stuck' really resonated with me this morning. Just the encouragement I needed. You see, my husband's been out of work for a year."

Aging Gratefully

Waiting for the sun to rise while watching from the deck of our beach house.  Thick, hovering, dark abundant clouds with pale pink and yello...
